PHILATELY AND FLOWERS
The Philately and Flowers series is a set of eight canvases painted in oil, fine art and collages. Here Philately presents flowers as icons of each place of origin and destination in the letters, I bring in the works this symbolic element of the Flower, which is the symbol of each place, as well as the time thought of when people communicated through letters, and that these often did not reach their destination. And, also, a rescue of letter communications that disappeared during the wars, and were brought by Philately. Thinking about art through communication through Postal History, on canvas, is what I want with this work.
Stamps of Austria
Series of 10 small and 2 medium-sized canvases of Stamps glued to foam and painted in oil. Flowers, or just one flower, can be thought of as a highlight, an illumination, where all they need to do is come together, in interesting colors, to transform them into a landscape or the painted canvas itself. Giving new meaning to flowers through painting is, in itself, expressing the perfect beauty of nature, which is present in many places in our daily lives.
